Operations Supervisor
The individual performing this job function is empowered with adequate authority to exercise the required duties and responsibilities of the position to ensure that all work performed meets or exceeds LX Pantos America, INC. standards for safety, quality and productivity. This position requires excellent leadership skills along with the ability to facilitate and communicate the business workflow in a fast-paced distribution operation; oversee coaching and counseling of all associates and ensures a safe and productive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages all aspects of the distribution operations for the designated shift.
- Responsible for mentoring, training, and development of Associates.
- Responsible for leading and executing KPI’s; identifying key customer issues that are critical to quality (CTQ).
- Responsible for inventory accuracy and process improvement initiatives.
- Supervises all receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities performed by warehouse associates.
- Maintains a high degree of visibility and access to associates on the warehouse floor throughout the shift.
- Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
- Ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by associates.
- Administrative duties include preparing required reports and correspondence.
- Manages personnel issues to include determining manpower needs and training.
- Trains, motivates, coaches, disciplines associates being supervised, and assists in the resolution of personnel issues.
- Oversees the housekeeping activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
- Supports Safety Programs and best practices. Actively supports and participates in the Safety and Behavioral Based Safety Committees.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager and/or Operations Manager.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in distribution or manufacturing environment or comparative schooling plus work.
- High School Diploma or GED; BS/BA Degree preferred
- Proven success in maintaining quality, service, and client relationships in a high-paced setting.
- Experience working in team oriented, multi-shift environment.
- Proven competencies in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with WMS, LEAN/Six Sigma, inventory management, project leadership, and team building is preferred.
- Flexible to work all hours and job stability of no more than 3 jobs in the past 7 years.
Skill Requirements
Skill in interpersonal communication.
Skill in using a personal computer and associated software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Clamp-certified (Preferred).

A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures are hot or cold (seasonally) and noise level can be moderate to high.
